- Stunning - this may well be the best sounding record, in terms of soundstage and dynamics, that I have ever bought (and I have bought thousands). It refutes the hypothesis that digital recordings cannot sound great on vinyl: they do. Most of the Blue Notes of this era sound spectacular (Bill Frisell, Charles Lloyd etc).

Perfect sound and almost perfect pressing. What a great collection of songs, Bernie Grundman did an excellent job in mastering, and the songs are tastefully brought by a variety of world class artists. A gem in any collection- Just WOW!!!!

Excellent record musically. My copy has a repeating tick for about a minute at the end of B side, except for that it's very quiet. Still highly recommended!
Clean vinyl with outstanding dynamics. Well produced. Love the music.
Why are so few vinyl pressings as excellent in quality as this one? A recording worthy of reference in terms of sound quality so carefully pressed on vinyl that it brings tears of joy to the eyes of every audiophile enthusiast. And the music is beyond any doubt anyway.

I'm changing my review. I had detected some distortion here and there, and today gave the entire album a serious listen. There is a soft but noticeable distortion whenever a certain wind instrument played, which is often. You can hear it on the digital version as well.
I received a new stylus last night so I first listened with a 3600L.with Micro line stylus, and then swapped in a Nagaoka MP200. Distortion on both.
Very disappointed.
As an aside, I recently picked up a copy of Meshell N'degeocello 's Nina Simone tribute album, and she does an incredible version of Suzanne. Worth checking.
