To honor his achievement of gaining 200 Patreon followers, Brawther confirmed that in 2021 he will ressurect this project. That means, Paris Underground Trax Vol. 2 is on its way. Patience :)

Probably one of those records that influenced my musical direction the most in the last 10 years. Before that, my biggest interest was in the 80s Chicago house style tracks, but this record made me dig the early 90s house archives. It also brought back the old school stripped down garage/chord/organ house sound to a bigger audience of underground DJs. Is it too late to ask for a Vol. 2, hehe :)

The chords on "Hardcore Deep House" sound like those from Carl Craig's 69 prod. track "Sub Seducer" from 1993.

I know, it's probably a Fender Rhodes piano chord but definitely a sample. I'm fairly certain it's the opening chord from the Britfunk classic 'London Town' by Light of The World (from around the 8-second mark).

Lots of producers use this kind of instrument from years to be honest.

Yep. Carl himself nabbed that chord from the Kenlou mix of Saint Etienne's "Nothing Can Stop Us Now".

There is nothing 'underground' about this release. It is well in sight. In fact, the so called 'underground' doesn't exist. The guys that run this label have nothing to do with subversive counter-culture, they are not involved in any social struggle. There's nobody 'jacking' here, 'Underground' has become a hip marketing tool, a 'Joy Division' sweater on a catwalk.

Awesome re-press, nice loud and warm sound pressed on high quality vinyl, could even be 180 gram?

Now vinyl enthusiasts can afford to buy this classic release without paying 'extortion' money on ebay/ discogs marketplace.

Here's hope to seeing some more of the MLIU back catalogue being remastered and made more affordable.

Good on ya Jeremy!
