The LA-based duo's debut album on their own label after a string of well-received 12” outings. The recipe is pretty simple; good times bass music on a roll with synth overdoses incorporating obvious inspirations from 80’s boogie music and original electro in a modern context with the latest in future genre synthesis. The beat butchery comes correct on tracks such as ‘Tar’ and ‘Agrokrag’ which grind their way through the suburbs of LA like a mild-mannered Godzilla. Bay Area hip hop/Hyphy legend Turf Talk drops by on ‘I am Gone’ and cuts such as ‘Batman‘ just adds to unfolding the humorous elements in full with the old talkbox having a well-deserved dust off. ‘Web Swag’ is a full on buzz of arcade game funk certifying the creativity of the album as well as the futuristic P-funk jam ‘ Cosmic Ride’ which places Lazer Sword somewhere in the middle of a home listening experience and a block party.
