Black Flag – My War

This was never a sonic masterpiece, but it sounds much better turned up loud. Typical Spot engineered album. I love having it on full size vinyl, always loved the artwork. I also have a CD copy to blast in the car. I'm pretty happy with this for jamming at home.

I wonder if this version actually exists or if it's just leftover stock from the first pressing that was sold with a new catalog. I've seen both and can't tell the difference.

Does this come with a booklet insert? (Not a single lyrics sheet). Can’t find anything on it

I'm also going to call bullshit on this version being exclusive to 1994. Pretty sure I got mine at Reconstruction Records' going out of business sale in 1993 and they had a knack for getting old stock. More likely its an earlier pressing they ordered a lot of and kept updating the sale catalogs.

Sounds pretty muddy to me. I think it was recorded/mixed that way. This is not a record I need on vinyl. The album cover is good; otherwise, I'm considering unloading this record.

i wouldn’t say it’s the crispiest and most clear records of my collection, the drums in particular sound a little distorted and muddled, but the copy is otherwise dead quiet and flat and encapsulates what the original pressing held

Mastered so low I have to turn it up 10-15 decibels louder than most other stuff I own.

Basically all of these ‘sealed’ copies are listed incorrectly. This issue (which dates from the late 80s-90s) was still made from the original Kdisc masters. Please stop listing the currently available reissue here, as they are either the Golden masterings, or the numerous counterfeits.

Mine is the same as this, but does not have the price listed on the j-card. Is mine maybe an earlier version not listed?

Just purchased this at a record store a week ago and my copy matches this release exactly. Was not expecting the vinyl to sound this good. Disc is flat, dead quiet, and the sound crushes streaming platforms. The artwork is also pretty well done for a reissue.

Rainbo Records was likely not the plant these were made in if this is a newer pressing. United bought Rainbo and their presses. Not sure how this would compare to an original, but I am very happy with my copy.
