Notes
Screeching Weasel's second album. This is the last release to feature original drummer Steve Cheese and the only release for bassist Warren "Fish" Fischer. Both would be out of the band by the time the record eventually hit store shelves. This album was initially released by Roadkill Records in the US and licensed to Wetspots in the UK. Roadkill's first pressing consisted of 2000 copies, the first 200 of which came with an insert that featured photos of the band bowling in the nude. Roadkill later did a second pressing of, according to Ben Weasel, something like 176 copies to fill extra sleeves that the label still had. The album was remixed for the European release and all subsequent reissues have used that same mix. The Roadkill and Wetspots versions also contain a 14th track on the A-side called "Boogada", which is a collection of sound bites. This track has not been included on any reissues.
In 1992, Lookout! Records reissued the album in unknown quantities on LP, cassette, and CD. In 2005, Asian Man Records reissued the album on CD in unknown quantities. Starting in 2008 and carrying over into the following year, Recess Records reissued the album in 4 separate colors over 4 separate pressing in quantities of 500 copies per color. The colors were gray (advertised as "multi-color"), pink, blue, and white. In 2010, Recess reissued the album on CD, as well.
The record has also been bootlegged several times, starting in 1991, when an acquaintance of the owner of Roadkill Records took the tapes and sold them to the Nate Starkman and Son label. A distributor of Wetspots also allegedly issued a bootleg.
The cover of each issue has also been different. The Roadkill version has a picture of the Screeching Weasel weasel mascot in black ink on a pink background but with no text on the front. The Lookout! version has the same weasel drawing on a green background with the band name on above the drawing and the album name below. The Asian Man issue is similar to the Lookout! edition, but with a pink background. The Recess Records version is similar to the Roadkill version except that the weasel character is in black and white. The Wetspots cover is entirely different, featuring a cartoon drawing of a paperboy flipping off an old man.

referencing Boogadaboogadaboogada! (LP, Album) RDK-001
My copy includes a handwritten note on RoadKill Records stationery from Ben Weasel to the record's original owner.- Edited 2 years agoThis CD version on Recess Records was actually released later on in 2010 i believe. The Asian Man CD version was released first.
- The best SW album still to this day, unfortunately, going full pop punk was a bad idea. Later on....good songs here and there up to Television City Dreams but that ended there.
