Notes
3rd LP by Screeching Weasel. This is the first release to feature drummer Dan Panic, the only full-length release for bassist Dave Naked, and the first time Danny Vapid is credited under the Vapid alias. Outtakes from the "My Brain Hurts" sessions were released on the "Pervo-Devo" 7" EP.
The album was first released in unknown quantities by Lookout! Records. The album was released on vinyl, cassette, and CD. "Hi Mom!" was printed on the CD spine. In 2005, the album was reissued by Asian Man Records on CD using the same cover photo as the Lookout! version but with the text in different front. In 2009, Recess Records issued a vinyl version with all new cover art (a cartoon parody of the original with insects taking the place of the people in the picture) and on clear, white, orange, and pink vinyl (1 pressing, 500 copies per color).

Can someone do a separate listing for the 90s light blue Screeching Weasel text version? I don’t own a copy or I would.- I have a very odd copy of this album not listed (at least i can't find existence of it) A little background, 2000-2002 i worked at a record store and ordered this album to stock in my store. The first copy i received has a manufacturing audio error during Guest List that continues throughout the rest of the album. Going into the last chorus of Guest List this horrible static and modulation occurs. I thought it was a single anomaly so i ordered another copy and the same thing happened with the next 3 copies i got. The matrix runout is

Anyone else ever encountered this version? referencing My Brain Hurts (LP, Album) LOOKOUT # 50
I've seen 2 slightly different variations for the Lookout vinyl release. There's the Screeching Weasel headline written on the front cover with a dark blue and there's one with a light blue writing for the front cover.- My version is not here. It has "HI MOM" on the spine, but no catalog number and the runout says "manufactured by american helix" I will add my version soon.
- Yeah, this is the best Screeching Weasel album. The songs are tight, the lyrics are great and this particular lineup only played on this album. The only "low" point is that they re-recorded "Fathead" at a slower tempo and it's not as good as the original version. Oh, well . . . everything else more than makes up for it. CLASSIC pop-punk album.
- Edited 18 years agoThis is perhaps one of my favorite Screeching Weasel albums. It was the first album where Ben and the boys had finally worked out the bugs to make a solid record that many would enjoy. Basically, it was the blueprint of pop-punk. It's fast songs, catchy melodies, and poignant lyrics are still relevant today.
