Genesis – Nursery Cryme

Very interesting print of Nursery Cryme; like all those released between 1975 and the early 80s. There's more soundstage here, Hackett's guitars are more prominent, as are Collins' drums. It all sounds much more balanced than the first UK pressing. The atmosphere, in general, is close to the first German press published on Philips - the edition that I would highly recommend. Anyway for the really low price I would highly recommend this edition.

Listening to this CD as someone who had previously been streaming the 2007 Stereo Mix of the album, I really began to understand what people online meant when they say this album's mix is rough. Just a notice for others in a similar scenario!

Some of the large hatter labels , early pressings sound as good or better than the scroll labels . The best sounding that I've got is a large hatter , and I've got two scrolls .

One of my favourite Genesis Albums, but here's not a good pressing. Stay away from this one!

This is the best sounding version of this album by far.

Don't listen to the reviewer below, this remix is a huge improvement over the original muddy sound. Wide soundstage and very clear and deep.

I've got similar runouts, but a "PRS Hannover" stamp on rear cover.

The labels are a real dark blue, nearly purple.

Here we have a very nice Genesis album, but this German /Philips pressing does not sound good.

This pressing sounds pretty bad. Very muddy compared to my copy of Nursery Cryme / Foxtrot
