Genesis – Selling England By The Pound

Preamplifier, power amplifier and CD player from Accuphase, Cabasse Iroise MC speakers, Rega Planar 10 with EMT JSD 06 in my opinion the best bass reproduction of all brands, not too bright and nervous and an extremely fine resolution. As well as the corresponding cables for the complete system.

I just received my copy. Spinning it now. I will continue to reserve a final judgement but as of right now this version lacks the bass authority that the 2008 Nick Davis versions have. The bass pedal sounds are not as thick as the 2008.
The vocals are more forward which I like and I am hearing more sounds than other versions. I also have an OG US pressing on Charisma GPiros cut.
I’m very fine with the $60 price for all analog , to me that’s a great sweet spot. MoFi at $125 is ridiculous for digital.

I received the disc today and I can say that it is the best of all the ones I have,quiet and flat, but I expected something more,it sounds good but it dind’t make say: ohhh wow!!!

This is not an audiophile recording, and no analog treatment or remastering will make it sound good. What a disappointment, bass and trebles too flat. I choose the 33 Rhino vinyls (new mix).

Great sound quality on this one throughout. Beats my US original by a long shot. Listening with nice headphones the clarity, seperation, and dynamics are fantastic throughout. Just wish it was cut a little louder, I understand the dynamics of it but could have definitely had a louder, hotter cut without sacrificing the dynamics throughtout considering it’s a 45 Cut.

There's nothing like Genesis original mixes ... They are more organic then the remixes .... Like that horrible gate that's on Phil Collins snare that's on every remixed LP .... It doesn't even sound like his drum kit ...

Soundstage and dynamics are stunningly detailed. Instrument separation and presence is remarkable - like they’re performing right in your room. This is “Selling” as I’ve never heard it. I’m looking forward to the other Genesis releases.

Mine has a sound drop out on the first song . Does any one else have this pressing fault on theirs.

I will receive my copy next week and I am a little expectant,all the reviews I have seen on YouTube speak highly of this edition,however here, for some it is wonderful and for others a great disappointment,I am eager to draw my own conclusions,I have no less than 6 editions of the good ones.

This pressing has all the low frequencies cut off. It has a weak mid-range tone, almost as if there's some hard dolby noise reduction going on. The best "pressing" I own so far and recommend is the blu-ray pure audio stereo/surround version, nothing beats it.
