The first 27 seconds of Squarpusher mix sounds to a be a computer programme. Has anybody tried to load it into a ZX Spectrum and see if it yields a result?

Wagon Christ remix is nice for me because it's released right before Tally Ho! Which for me is what really got me hooked on Luke Vibert.

On this single of remixes of Funki Porcini's _Carwreck_, Wagon Christ takes the track and makes it much more melodic, almost to the point of atmospheric drum 'n' bass, with some vocals samples from the original. Squarepusher, on the other hand, goes much more abstract in his mix, with the clattering abstract jungle monstrosity that first brought him to fame. Listen to that bass go! Halfway through, he changes gears and makes the whole thing come together in a moody cataclysm. The b-side, "The Fly," has plenty of personality to spare for such an annoying little insect.

While Luke Vibert's treatment is a little clean and underwhelming for his standards, Squarepusher's take is a real classic - modem noise, freestyle bass, jazz chords ending in a bach-style pizzicato - fabulous...
