- Amazing album, but the pressing is shit. My copy came dish-warped, off-center and with a few pops. Blue Note please stop pressing these at RTI, it's basically impossible to get a flat Tone Poet these days.
- Wow, this is a spectacular record. So well done. Well recorded, well pressed, fabulous material. Sounds amazing.
- Edited 10 months agoI find myself returning to this Tone Poet release more frequently than most. I love "Native Land" and "Amyable," and of course it's a treat to hear Dupree Bolton. His solo on "You Don't Know What Love Is" haunts me. Terrific pressing as well.
- There's something new every time i revisit this hidden gem! Amazing sound, top class mastering as well.
Lucky enough to own a clear and silent copy.
Grateful to Mr. Tone Poet who brought this masterpiece back to the light!
No matter how many Tone Poets you have, this one is an absolute must for your collection! referencing Katanga! (LP, Reissue) AFF 128
This pressing sounds great, very dynamic and good bass separation. Highly recommendreferencing Katanga! (LP, Album, Mono) PJ-70
All pajami-jams , 2nd to none ( except if they could have gotten Blakey on drums , and mixed in some congas) . Must have , go buy it now !!
