You might need to dust your record... Crackled after sitting on the shelf for a little while but once wiped down sounded quite clean.referencing Up From Below (2×LP, Album, 180 gram) CSDLP 1138
Contrary to other reviews, my copy sounds great. No pops and very clean- It’s a big, warm hug; great jangly music that fills the room in a wonderful way. I agree with others on quality - excellent cut.
- I am so impressed with this remaster and pressing. I have often hesitated on vinyl from music of this particular decade - sometimes they haven't bothered improving the quality since it wasnt on vinyl the first time.. but this is not one of those, it is masterfully done, the artists were clearly well involved, and the booklet is quite nice, with some info about the original release, images, and details I'd never noticed. And the detail in the music! This might be one of the best quality records I have, might become the one to put on when a friend wants to hear my system. Note this is my first discogs review, as nothing has impressed me this much before.

Pressing is alright, slightly warped on side A as far as the copy I got my hands on is concerned. The mastering is pretty average and flat, I wish the vocals were more in front of the soundstage and instruments would have better separation. Hope this will be repressed better in the future.- Fantastic sounding album - great catchy songs that make you want to do a little shimmy. Pressing is heavy, flat, and quiet. Faint warp on disc2, maybe shrink a little tight. No issues during playback, just made the VPI mad during vacuum cleaning as that 180g vinyl doesn’t flex with the suction

Terrible. They had a decent live performance on Letterman when the record came out and I made the mistake of buying it. Since then, every day I see it in my collection I look at it with contempt. I wouldn't recommend buying any version. Recording quality is bad and the songs are bad. Maybe when the next beer commercial uses it, I can sell it to get my money back.- Surprised there's totally no impressions about this release anywhere at all, at least I've been able to find.
I never heard the original vinyl so I cannot compare but this remaster sounds fantastic! Compared to the CD which sounded completely chunky, everything is a lot more separate and deliberate. The basis of these recordings is tinged with lo-fi qualities anyway so it's a breath of fresh air to hear how things were mixed and a lot more nuanced.
The pressing is fantastic stuff from the guys at RTI. Great booklet. The front cover and back embossed with "REMASTERED" is pretty silly tho. And an aside, a couple photos from film sources have been horrifically degrained and sharpened to hell and back! It's actually pretty funny but the past releases represent these photos untouched.
Highly recommended! It's a great time! referencing Up From Below (CD, Album, Repress) VR542
My copy includes a fold-out poster of band with photo collage on flip sidereferencing Up From Below (2×LP, Album, 180 gram) CSDLP 1138
I'm not sure, weather I should pick the double Vinyl or the single... Can anyone recommend one of the existing Versions?
Thanks :)
