- Outstanding mastering and pressing - Stephin Merritt’s voice sounds so resonant and warm, instruments are well-separated, just fantastic overall. I really dug this album when it came out on CD and getting it on vinyl now it’s love all over again. Minor quibble - the “gold” is sort of a dirty, puke-y brown. Oh well, can’t nail everything. Still a must have for TMF fans.
- Very nice to have this one on vinyl finally, quiet and flat pressing. Musically, the arrangements and songwriting are brilliant, one of my favorite self-centered, love-themed records. Yes, It’s gay love but hey, not that there’s anything wrong with that!
- This is a sweet album
I must have listened to it a couple of hundred times but for the first time, I sat in front of my sound system and only listen to it. No phone in my hand, just listening.
At first it felt al little thin like it lacked of bass but then I realized there is no bass on it, it’s cello. So as soon as I figured that out it was a fantastic experience until the very end.
Simple, beautiful and honest record.
I’ve been waiting a long time for that moment.
I did hear many beautiful arrangements I never heard before, magical.
This is limited, you should jump on it! - Sounds great + fantastic material. I especially like the track “I looked all over town” that one knocked my block off lol
- Wow the prices are going up by the minute!!!
Bought mine 23 hours ago for 31.89 plus shipping and now the prices just keep on climbing.
Glad I did my move quick cuz I would have probably paid the 100$ For this amazing record - Solid vinyl release. Nice jacket. Colored vinyl is of little or no detriment here - my copy sounds fantastic, no noise whatsoever. If you are a TMF fan, grab it.

I just saw my local store post a picture of an LP copy of this album!!!!! Aaaaahh-so cool! I had no idea. I’ve stayed away from RSD since the only one I attended in 2015, but I’ll have to swing by @ some point to grab this one! I doubt it’ll sell out in my small town, but ya never know!referencing I (CD, Album) 79683-2
