The Byrds – Fifth Dimension

This 16-bit 1996 remaster, coming 30 years after its debut, sounds great. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. Excellent!

An under-appreciated album which includes some of my favorite Byrds songs: “5 D,” “Mr. Spaceman,” “I Come And Stand At Every Door,” and “Eight Miles High” are all classics. Sure, the album does have some weaker tracks, but none that I truly dislike. The quality of this reissue is phenomenal: vinyl is flat, absolutely silent, and housed in a polylined sleeve. My copy has a bent corner on the cover, but it’s my fault for not looking at it closely before buying it.

Terrible sounding pressing. Gutless with hardly any bottom end to speak of. Also very distorted sounding and not in a good way! Really hoping earlier copies sound better than this!!? This this one alone people.

probably my favorite of the byrds besides YTY - this has one of my favorite songs, i see you, which i fell in love with from YES and their first lp. but this record has everything you want from the middle late 60s psyc sound with the sweet soft sounds that bring a tear to your eye like wild mountain thyme and those psyc gems like i see you or 2-4-2 Fox trot

Copy bought yesterday (18/9/23) in Nottingham at reputable seller. Has the variant runout, same sleeve and the same labels as the photographs, no 8 page booklet included and no mention of "Blues In Vinile".

My copy of this misprint pressing is VG++ and plays flawlessly, surprisingly silent, but the sound is surprisingly thin. Seems to be an issue inherent to the recording, as I'm seeing similar comments on other releases of this album. Still a fun listen.

Perfectly flat, well-centred with a silent surface. Almost certainly digital source, but still a great player and the material is up with their best.

I believe I have this version. All matrix/runout info matches, except do not see "AudioMatrix" on side A. All other info is there. Is this version hard to find? Not sure what it is worth as there have been no previous sales. Any input is appreciated.

These japanese 1970 pressings are so fabulous ..Clear ,pure sound

This is beautiful sounding reissue of this classic album. Very dynamic and punchy sound. Everything sound fresh and crisp.
