      Probably not 'Live' recordings as it is written on this CD, but early studio demos and jams from 1968.
      Worth having as a historical record that lets you discover what 'Santana' were before becoming a 'Real' band. Also I suspect use of drugs during at least some of these tracks. Nothing unusual…

        Not as bad as what the other reviewer had to say, but these tracks have all been round many times before on budget compilations, and you either love it, or not... Plenty of good jamming, but definitely not of the quality of their official releases. Get them first. Leave this one for the die hards.

          Despite the cool Aztec inspired artwork, this album is a cacophonous mess of studio jams that make little to no sense. Have an aspirin nearby when you listen to this racket. Levels are all over the place. The tracks fade in and fade out of nowhere. It starts off okay with a long studio jam on "Jingo" but it doesn't sound as FAT as it does on their first legit album... and then "Travelin' Blues" fades in and it's a lower level and sounds muffled. Then more interminable shredding and just when you are about to rip your face off things calm down with "Every Day I Have the Blues" which again is a pretty loose jam. This thing gets tiresome very quickly. You've probably seen and heard these tracks on countless semi-legit releases of early Santana on various labels. It's the same old public domain stuff. You can tell the guys are just goofing around in the studio because there's no real form to this. I'm sorry I wasted my time and money on this album. The pressing itself is fine.. but the musical content is "meh".
