this 12" contains two of my favorite karma songs (the third one has to be 'the ballad of evil knievel') on one release. 'look up dere' is based on steely dan's song 'royal scam,' which is an absolute killer dan tune. the remix of 'look up dere' is also quite good. in my mind, i always think the sample is referring to some kind of UFO sighting or something mysterious in the sky. not sure if sutra uses a sample, and if so where it is taken from.

Sutra is a chill yet uptempo d'n'b track with a soft vocal and catchy tune to boot. Look Up Dere takes a classic 70s sample and warps it to a witty effect amidst some jazziness. The NKS mix kicks things up with a d'n'b mix, while the original could easily be seen in a chill room, clocking in at a lazy 70-something bpm.
