Unusual combination of players would be the first thing you would notice. Lp says 1981 but who knows when it was recorded, so hard to place it in context of their career. Heavy soul-jazz with Don Alias providing a heavy backbone to some strong playing. Most of the time they sound tight with a minimal amount of noodling and sometimes they drift into distortion and feedback. For sure some experimentation with pedals, etc. Strongest track on the A side is "Swamp Carol" and the B-Side is pretty amazing front to back. A score for 4 dollars.
