referencing Roadsongs (CD, Album, Reissue) Normal 195 CD
This live album was released by various labels between 1992 and 1995. The German 'Normal Records' release contains 3 bonus tracks and has a nice black and white Americana photograph on the cover. My copy has a slip cover. It does not specify the dates of the recordings. The quality of both the recordings and the performances are pretty good, with Townes sensitively accompanied on several by a fiddler (Owen Cody), Acoustic Bass and some additional acoustic guitar. Not a full on band, but lightly augmented. Townes is mostly on form. We get several Lightnin' Hopkins tracks which is lovely. All in all one of the better entries in the late period collection of Townes live albums. Recommended. This German Normal Records release is the definitive version.
