Great sound quality even in the abstract, let alone for an independent-label cassette release on what looks like basic tape stock. Very pleasant stereo mix and solid dynamic range; better in both departments than any of Kid's major-label work. Dolby tracks excellently for me.

I was planning to buy this release as a playing copy and then pick up the promo CD for my digital music library later, but after listening through for the first time, I changed my mind and just digitized the cassette. It's that good. (Of course, the copy I bought was NOS; your results might be less favorable if you are only able to swing a used copy in poor condition.)

This EP is well worth hearing in its original quality; one song ("Country Boy") doesn't appear on any other Kid release at all, two songs ("Oedipus Complex" and "Bullgod") do appear on other albums but only with noticeably different mixes, and a fourth song ("Rollin' On The Island") only otherwise appears on the annoyingly scarce Polyfuze Method Revisited. Internet uploads of these songs are either nonexistent or have noticeably poor quality.
