12 × 5 is the second American studio album by the English rock band the The Rolling Stones, recorded 25 February – 29 September 1964 and released in October 17, 1964, almost five months after the release of the American version of their debut The Rolling Stones (England's Newest Hit Makers), is an expanded version of the EP Five by Five, which had followed their debut album in the UK.

to me this ones cover always turns up in heavily worn condition
I've had this 1968 pressing in almost mint condition since yesterday and I'm absolutely blown away. It's fake stereo, but IT'S ALL OVER NOW, for example, doesn't rattle anywhere else as beautifully as it does here. I also have the 2003 remaster on vinyl (in mono) and in my opinion it's hardly any fun at all.
Mine is exactly this matrix. Unboxed London but says 12 x 5 instead of 12 by 5. Anyone seen this entry? I may have to make one.

I am really impressed by these Decca Rolling Stones remasters from the 1980's. Obviously most people try to avoid records that are "digitally remastered" or any digital step in general but these really sound phenomenal and clear compared to the original London releases of Stones albums I have heard.

To the best of my knowledge this is the pressing I have. No complaints, sounded fine. I wish we could get more info, year of release and etc.
Un pur plaisir pour les oreilles ! Le tout début des Rolling Stones avec déjà un Mick Jagger incroyablement charismatique. Le titre de l'album ne laisse pas indifférent. Mon père, aujourd'hui âgé de 74 ans est allé voir plusieurs fois les RS dans des petites salles en UK où ils faisaient les premières parties. Il s'agit de son album préféré car il représente le début des Stones et toute cette époque si riche musicalement.
