Are all CD versions HDCD? Also floating around on Soulseek is a version with 2 bonus tracks Hopeless an a remix of Darkest Days is this a different version of the Japanese release?- This vinyl (I have the green one) sounds incredible as stated below. Very quiet pressing and dynamic. The green and black swirl looks nice, not that it really matters. The sound/mastering is awesome.

Great Album! as Irreversible90 said "Underrated Industrial rock album. Good from start to finish."- Edited 6 years agoJust now listening to the black and white splatter. Wow! Whomever did the remastering at Battery Studios knew what they were doing.
- Edited 6 years agoI received mine yesterday (Monday, 11/05/18). Trifold record jacket with different band pic on the rear. The inner art is much the same as the original booklet, but there is an insert with the lyrics instead. Two vinyls, green smoke (has black patterns/streaks throughout) and is TRANSLUCENT (see-through). Record one (my copy) has a slight potato-chip warp, rises up when side one is played, faces down on side two. Creates a bit of noise when playing, but not a huge issue (hate it though.) Record two about perfect, both records very centered. Open mix, not huge amount of compression as on the original CD. Suggests this really is a brand-new mastering, and not from a 44.1/16 source! Hope yours isn't warped!
Great pressing overall!
No download code! (Not a deal breaker for me--already own the original CD.)
BTW, outer green sticker states which copy you have and how many were pressed of it (green/black haze 700 or black/grey splatter 300.) Although you have to open it to know for certain--but you knew that already. referencing Darkest Days (CD, HDCD, Album, Stereo) CK 68006
outstanding album that is an exercise in depression and loathing. i remember being introduced to them in 1997 (late) when Darkest Days had, or was coming out. i remember listening to it on my friend's sony walkman and thinking... its so heavy and dark. still, to this day, the album is effecting. one of my favorite concept CDs ever. very dark, depressing. but rewarding in its own way. the best thing Stabbing Westward ever did, by a long shot, in my opinion.referencing Darkest Days (CD, HDCD, Album) COL 488533 2
Underrated Industrial rock album. Good from start to finish, now all we need is a vinyl record release!
