Not too sure what all the poor sound quality comments are about. Are they getting this mixed up with the repress? My original sounds incredible - really atmospheric, lovely soundstage, crisp, clear and well balanced live recording.
Purchased mine on the day of release. Still pretty damn quiet 25 years later. I must have lucked out. Not sure what the reissues are like, glad I own an original pressing though, great sounding album.
Unfortunately mine sounds pretty bad too, lots of noise especially at the beginning of each side....a shame!- Mine’s pretty quiet and is easily the best sounding Spiritualized vinyl album as far as sound stage and depth… until “LGM” with half speed mastering came along.

Just pulled this out again after being on the shelf for a long time. My copy is super flat with zero pops or clicks. Super quiet and sounds amazing actually. Not something you attribute to Plain pressings typically
One of the worst pressed records I own. If any LP needs a quality repress, it's this one, as it was an incredible gig.- The performance is good, its the pressing that's terrible. Looks of crackling at the start and in quiet moments. Frustrating.
- Not bad, but some of the bootlegs of them performing the songs with the "new" lineup in 1998 (after Pierce fired the whole band) are better. Shine A Light, Medication, Electric Mainline, Home of The Brave, and Walking With Jesus sound amazing here though
- I've seen sellers mention that this is a noisy pressing and I've tried two second hand copies in the past that both suffered with plenty of noisy at the start of each side. Does anyone have a quiet copy of this one or is it just the case that all the originals were noisy?

LOTS of pops...very noisy press even after a nitty gritty clean up. one side's matrix spells PLAIN as "PALIN" while other three sides are spelled correctly "PLAIN". high dollar quality control!
thanks plain [runt] for another ?quality? pressing/reissue of a hard to come by/fantastic album.
