Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), also simply called Scary Monsters, is his fourteenth from 26 studio albums (1967-2016) by British musician David Bowie and released in September 1980 by the label RCA Records.
After the three previous albums Low, Heroes and Lodger, which lyrically deal with Bowie's personal emotions and impressions, the lyrics on Scary Monsters describe contemporary topics such as street fighting, seduction, fascism and disorientation.

- Edited 17 days agoThis a solid pressing but it’s not doing anything special sonically. It’s a decent quiet flat pressing of a digital master so it lacks the dimensionality of a quality all-analog pressing.

Just bought an original UK pressing in visually fantastic condition, dynamic, clear , yet a little left channel distortion (a ‘crinkling’ sound) on parts of ‘Ashes To Ashes’, though this is likely wear on my copy and not a pressing issue affecting other copies.
Still, fairly happy as it was £11.99
Absolutely brilliant pressing and what a Bowie album with Fripp’s raw guitar playing

An excellent remaster and this is not an audiophile recording, although it is still good.
Best album of all time very happy to start my collection with it in 2021- Not a very interesting Bowie. The title « ashes to ashes » is great. Bonus titles are … bonus titles. Next.
This sounds simply decent. I've heard better, I've heard worse. It has this odd Bowie-sound from the three albums before, which I think confuses some people. It's not in the record. It was the way it was mixed to tape.referencing Scary Monsters (LP, Album) RVP-6472
Very nice pressing. Incredibly clear and detailed. Zero background noise
Very good pressing but could use a little more bass (personal taste). One of my all time fave Bowie records, this one is a solid buy. Very well done on the remaster.
