Reviews
- Edited 7 days agoThis US press of the first Patto sound very good! A tad too much bass heavy but otherwise great. And quite silent too (if the LP is really NM obviously). A good alternative to the quite expensive original UK.

This pressing would make any audiophile happy. I have no idea who mastered it and I'm going to assume digital steps were involved because that's what happens these days. But man, does this sound spectacularly good. Also great album that has flown under the radar. referencing Patto (LP, Album, Reissue, Repress) AK 185
I've recently purchased Patto (2) - Patto in April 2024. The vinyl is a disaster. The constant "pops" & "clicks". It's so bad, quite frankly, I'm surprised it doesn't skip. Even after recording it, I thought I could clear it up with the Audacity program. This pressing is an abomination beyond reproach. I just can't believe that Record Industry would actually put this in a sleeve to be shipped and sold. Someone please tell me that this was just a "one-off" pressing.referencing Patto (LP, Album, Stereo) VEL 1001
Why so cheap next to the outrageously priced UK release????referencing Patto (LP, Album, Reissue) AK 185
unlike other publications, this one by AKARMA is appreciable without being pervaded by the usual background noise that alters the music too much.- Edited 4 years ago

Hard rock or prog rock (as it is labeled here at release page) that fit Vertigo label it ain't. Vocal is ridiculous - sounds as it was recorded while the vocalist was trying to release himself during opstipation (improves a bit towards the end of the album - but that improvement's only enough for not calling it ridiculous). The album sounds like an inept mixture of straight rock of the era and something that could be called pub rock or whatever (but calling it that way is only a try to give at least some explanation to the undescribable whole); even one or two (probably unintentional) rural/country rock moves are thrown in somewhere at side one. Jazz improvisation in Money Bag (as the track in general does) gives you an urgent need to make immediate calls to fellow collectors and beg them to swap this one for ANY proper psych/prog record. A couple of worthy guitar minutes - that's all (but mostly DEADLY annoying). Ugly cover art too. referencing Patto (LP, Album, Reissue, Repress) AK 185
Please help, how does this one sound? How is the quality of the pressing?referencing Patto (LP, Album) 6360 016
Patto shows us that driving and heavy can be gorgeous weapons, if only the right men handle them. Almost every track is a winner and it is hard to understand why this wasn't instantly world-famous when it came out. Loaded with emotion, highly expressive, still no frills and tricks anywhere, quite a feat. The mean time/measure changes in Time to die, the pushing harmonies on Hold me back, the world-record pace and anarchy of San Antone, are just a few points in case. Masculine and mature, this album puts a whole bunch of much better selling bands to shame.
