Great New Wave track that should’ve peaked a LOT higher than just No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. Full of catchy beautiful synth melodies and smooth sounds.

I have a vinyl rip of this double 12", and "Red frame/white light" lasts not for 3:15 as stated on the label, but for 3:27. This seems to be the fullest version of the song available.

"I betray my friends" is fantastic piece of electronic psychedelia. Pity it's not rediscovered yet.

I LOVE this song!!! This is why OMD was so popular. This sort of electro-love song is what they do best. Side 2 is an instrumental piece that is beauitful.

Perfect 80s synth-pop song like only OMD can do it.
A lot of romantic/idealistic thoughts of the UK ... too bad the reality is different, or maybe never existed.
Lyrics are a reference to Men Without Hats - "The Message" ? ("You brought a message and the message was clear")
