New Direction is an absolute Jungle Techno stomper. Rinsed by Tango, and SS in the 90s - anyone from this era will recognise this track.- This also samples the start of Xpansions Elevation (Puffasonic Remix)
Waxdoctor (or Jack Smooth?) Must have really liked that sample as they used it in a lot! It must be good when layering beats up? - Edited 4 years agoTop Buzz @ Tribal Gathering every time.
I presume there are issues with no DATS, or permissions as this should of been reissued a long time ago. - I really wish they would reissue this record. The New Direction (93 Remix) is so amazing. It still gives me goosebumps when I hear it. I hope someday I can add this to my vinyl collection. My collection is incomplete without it.
- I paid well over the odds for this at a time when none were available but what a fucking tune. Sounds cliche but even thinking about that breakdown (as Wizhard mentions) gives me goosebumps. Such good memories attached to this tune and it didn't get rinsed so is still very playable. 1 of Basement's finest.
- This has to be one of the all time greats in the oldskool scene the breakdown is one big rush takes you back to ilegal raves
