Arrrr well if no one else is going to review Ruff With The Smooth Vol 1 on the mighty Basement Records i guess i will take it upon myself to do the honours.
If Basement Records should ever be remembered for anything, than this superb 12inch is one of the best the Basement Gang ever put out. Its dark like your falling down a slide with a giant set of jaws waiting for you at the bottom. And that is just the A side (Art Of Intelligence).
The B side (Sounds Superior) is actually a perfect name for the track title and sounds far superior then some of the so called big anthems of the time.
Both tracks are untouchable Hardcore Jungle Techno Darkside Monsters and this is essential that you purchase this if you are a Basement Fan or just into this style of music. I don't think this sounds dated and its 18 years old at the time of me writing this and i would like to point out that this is so much better than 99 percent of the rubbish being produced across the entire underground dance music scene in 2011.
New Artists should take note and try and produce something half as amazing as this record and then they still wouldn't come anywhere near being as BAD BOY as Ruff With The Smooth Vol 1. This record is GOD LIKE.
Bring on the haters and the disagree's. I don't care :-)
