this has been my reference GBYBR for years, and I have a variety of other pressings. I was lucky to find an unopened MOFI which I bought (for an obscene amount) because I thought I would never find another, and it wasn't probably ever going to be cheaper. That said, I like the MOFI better. It sounds bigger on my system, but it's not a huge difference. The Speakers Corner is still fantastic, and maybe it's the newness of the MOFI, but I'm just loving it. This first release with purple translucent vinyl is fantastic, silent vinyl excellent seperation of instruments crisp drums well worth getting has only the first release with no additional variants produced by looks. best I have heard
Love this album and this press of it is fantastic. Pianos sounds full, big punchy drums, vocals soar, very dynamic. Probably best sounding CD I own.
Quite an impressive audio fidelity from this pressing. Lucky for me that I found a copy that appears to be unplayed. I only have digital and cd to compare to, but it sounds better than them. Roughly half the price of a original UK pressing, so that's why I went for this one. Recommended.- Really stellar sound, quite rich and natural sounding, no apparent compression due to cramming all songs on one disc
I don't have anything to compare it with (other than a MFSL CD) so on it's own I'd say this pressing sounds fantastic! Nice equalization with crisp highs and plenty of bass with no snaps, crackles or pops. This'll do fine to cover the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" spot in my collection.
