Two top quality tunes from J Majik: smashing amens, booming subs, dreamy synths and stabs.
"Southern Comfort" is the light side here, starts with the flute sounds, later saxophone... more lush and dreamy.
"Hidden Menace" is the sinister brother and sounds like the name, menacing and energetic, with something hidden underneath the menacing pace, a menacing calm.- basementphil who engineered these tracks? Lemon D? . . . .
- I first got to know Jamie aka J Majik when I I released his first tune through my Company Vinyl Distribution on the groundbreaking Planet Earth Records label and subsequently Innervisions label, a true genius and instrumental in the early DnB scene. Jamie was always such a sweet and unasuming guy which only meant my love for him lasted for many a year and still today. Jamie produced this wonderful record for my label adding to his awesome catalogue of music, to pproducer and top guy
