I have this and simple songs. Both are kind of a mess sonically. Loud parts really loud, sometimes clear, sometimes muffled.

Just copped one from Drag City's website (late August 2023). Waited a while for this to get repressed. Worth it to complete the trio of Diamond Jim's early "pop" records on Drag City. Really nice pressing too. Much quieter than some Drag City releases (especially the 2022 repress of "Bad Timing").

Not only is this my favorite Jim ORourke album, but the pressing is quiet and the dynamics are outstanding. Highly recommended.

Five star all the way - stellar roster - amazing songs - sick delivery - drums are killer - and the piss and vinegar...damn Jim. Shit is real (production sounds amazing too...but kinda goes without saying with on JO'R <3)

After all those years, the more I'm listening to Jim O'Rourke second instalment for Drag City records, the more I'm convinced this should be afterall his best - even after Eureka, and of course Simple Songs
