- Logo design is a détournement of the cover of the Meridian paperback of Walter Kaufmann's "Existentialism from Dostoevsky to Sartre".

I’m listening to this now, and it’s just incredible. Stereolab really knocked it out of the park with their recent reissues. Buy with confidence.referencing Aluminum Tunes (2×CD, Compilation) DC159CD
In reference to variant 2, purchased release day A & B Sound Fish Creek Calgary Alberta Canada. Regarding the awful packaging, yet another attempt to reinvent the wheel mentality, like the dreaded jewel case, a three panel gatefold sleeve design is brilliant, for vinyl and CD, who asked for anything else!? Just endless payouts to friends, relatives, and sycophants. A superb sounding and fully loaded compilation, though, and that is ultimately what matters.referencing Aluminum Tunes (3×LP, Compilation) DC159
Brilliant compilation and sounds incredible, just like most Stereolab recordsreferencing Aluminum Tunes (2×CD, Compilation) DC159CD
hands down, the worst packaging of any CD I've ever encountered. good music makes up for it.- I bought the reissue and its just lovely. A lot of care went into it. And this compilation kicks off with the enchanting "Music for the Amorphous Body" which was for an art installation. It just sounds wonderful on vinyl. Very happy with the care put into this, overseen by the band.

Interesting tidbit, a first for me, the album cover smells like patchouli. Stronger when pulling out the albums from their sleeves. Was this a subtle reminder we miss European coffee shops? Hmm.- I used to have the original of this and have bought the clear reissue.
Both have the same smell of screen printed artwork! Wonderful detail. referencing Aluminum Tunes (2×CD, Compilation) DC159CD
My package is annoying cardboard sleeve that never held the CDs properly.referencing Aluminum Tunes (3×LP, Compilation) D-UHF-D20
My D-UHF-D20 has a textured sleeve with blue, clear, and orange vinyl lp's with a gold-flecked vinyl 7" in a plain white sleeve included. Somewhat similar to the Japanese box.
