Well what a little cracker. First saw a video of Yours ft. Virginia on YouTube & really liked it, so checked out who it was by & ended up picking the cd up via Discogs. It's a great listen from beginning to end, with a great groove that you can have on in the background or turn up to get things moving. What they called in my day " a right good foot tapper". Yours & Mines' is a excellent debut that's a great listen throughout for whatever the mood. This is a album that brings nothing but quality with its absorbing neon Detroit styled techno that edges with Chicago house with some nice use of Euro style minimalism and head-knodding funkiness. Even the occasional use of vocals, which I'm not usually a fan of, on a couple of tracks are very well implemented adding that extra deep lyrical harmony on an otherwise mostly instrumental album. The combination of electronic funk and padded deepness, at times, sound like a cross between 90's Carl Craig's house grooves, along with today's, 'The Shed's' more post-modern like techno, creating a sublime album of deep-funk music that effortlessly work together bringing addictive grooves along with plenty of depth - even the more upbeat parts never overstep or take away the deeper moments within the funk. This albums certainly delivers with ielectronic soul and cool funk grooves and showcasing how and what quality good techno-house can and should be! - Edited 9 years ago

Although I am an old school lover who can't find many new good releases out there today, again and again I have to stop myself to have a listen to new stuff. And that this is a good thing to be open for unknown artists and art this cd is an argument for. This woman makes great music - the sound remember Techno-Trance of a high quality we could find in the early 90s back in the days but with influences of the present sound. Its a fitting mixture of Techno, Trance, Techno-House and Deep House elements - and it doesn't get boring. If I would compare it with well known artists I have strangewise suddenly the idea of Resistance D in my mind, maybe in collaboration with Carl Craig or s.t. like that. It could be quite possible that if Steffie Doms had written this tracks in the beginning of the 90s and she would have sent a demo to R & S, Renaat could have given her a chance... ...ok - its just venture... anyway: track 1, 2 and 4 are my favorites. Track 2 was played by a dj in a local Berlin tv show where newcomer and other djs could be watched while spinning the wheels and that prick my ears suddenly: hey, whats this? Deep going music on a higher level...
All other tracks are good too, no real filler. Berlin Power. referencing Yours & Mine (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) OSTGUTLP08
Worth owning for "Manic Moods" alone, beautifully deep techno-house journey with acidy licks halfway between Chicago and Detroit with mood, melancholy and a tight drive.
The sort of stuff that Laurent Garnier or DJ Deep would play, also fitting in a more freaky context when you don't count the hours anymore to inject some romance.
