In reference to variant 2. Overwrought anthems for the lovelorn, broken hearted, and on the rebound. Alvvays with brass and strings. Very compressed recording.

Pressing is good quality - the vinyl is flat and centred and has virtually no surface noise. Mastering is disappointing; volume is a bit low, and sonics compared to the CD are warmer, but feel more compressed. "Honey In The Sun" is a great example -- on the CD, the chorus jumps from the speakers but on this vinyl is much more muted.
