Stereolab – Margerine Eclipse

It’s no secret that the 2019 Stereolab reissues sound good. Like RIDICULOUSLY good. I was expecting more of the same thing when I bought this album, threw it on the turntable and dropped the needle down. I was nearly knocked flat on my back. I think out of all of the amazing reissues this sounds the best. Unbelievably loud, crystal clear, and dead quiet. Probably some of the best instrument separation and definition I’ve heard in a record, EVER. How they managed to get this one to sound even better than the already blow-your-hair-back other pressings in the series is beyond me. I think I just sat in complete shock for the first song. This pressing had me reevaluating my love for this album and just where it sits in the phenomenal Stereolab discography. Oh, you think this album is mediocre? Just alright? I DARE you to drop 30 dollars on this reissue and witness your ears just about melt off. 10/10

Is this release on duophonic sound like the original recording?

Anyone know if these sleeves are the type of PVC that cause outgassing? I don't get that beach ball smell but I'm not a scientist and would rather be safe

Now on my third pressing of this one, and on all of them the C1 track has dropouts and noise in the left channel. A fault in the metal work no doubt.

Has anyone heard both the Black and Clear versions of this and compared them?
I have this one (black) and was thinking of switching it out for the clear.
Both are UHF pressings...
I know i'm weird but the clear vinyl is just SO cool and I LOVE this record!

Excellent Stereolab album. Sonically perfect, remaster is engaging, wide presentation, rich sound. 5 stars.

Excellent presentation and, most importantly, impeccable sound. This is a great purchase.

Why did they have to hard pan almost everything? Someone should remix this.
