Toto IV is the fourth studio album by American rock band Toto recorded October 1981 – January 1982 and released on April 8, 1982 by Columbia Records.
The lead single, Rosanna, peaked at number 2 for five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, while the album's third single, Africa, topping the Hot 100 chart, became the group's first and only number 1 hit.

despite the identical packaging, this appears to secretly use a more modern remaster for its audio. no credits in the booklet, no idea which master it uses either. apparently similar to the 2005 japanese mini lp release, but not identical

Not bright at all and plenty of bass on this one, surprisingly I may add considering it's a Japanese issue. Soundstage is huge also.- Reading the comments I must have a good one. Flattest record I own and flawless sound

too sober to write a music review....but its toto iv, if you're this far you've drank the juice...and its pretty sweet. anywho, this pressing is like a Lexus, it doesn't do anything wrong but there are so many more interesting, dynamic, exciting and better looking cars on the road. If you drive a Lexus then I'm sure you understand...I'm a bit bummed, because I thought the Lexus version of this record would be pretty good...but ironically, it's just kinda boring, hmmm. yes, It's flawless and silent, but there's negligible bass and the mix is mediocre considering the studio creds. Yet another Toto record in my collection I'll probably not listen to again...you're welcome.

Masterful impeccable pressing, wow. Zero surface noise, zero distortion, rich dynamics from bass to highs, great soundstage. Printed materials are top notch. Everything you expect from a japanese edition.
Unfortunately I can't take Kimball's vocal. Every time he starts to yell and go to that falsetto overload mode makes me want to go back in time and punch him in the face.

The grooves on mine seem to be pressed slightly off center -- I can hear the pitch kinda start to fluctuate near the end of each side.
