Gave it a wipe and ultrasonic and I'm happy. Like the previous comment stated, not audiophile, but the vinyl is quiet and warm sound stage feels perfect on vinyl. A def pick-up.- Edited 2 years agoSounds fantastic. Great pressing, no surface noise, pops, etc. Dynamic sound. Le Boob Oscillator... the way it was meant to be heard.
p.s Comes with nice poly-lined sleeves. Just be sure to replace that funky plastic outer sleeve for something long-lasting. The one it comes with is one of those plastics that end up 'melting/sweating' over time and ruining your records.

Like all the deluxe vinyl reissues this is a great release. Early Stereolab isn’t particularly audiophile so don’t be expecting Wish You Were Here, however it sounds good enough. And it’s a fine compilation too. Anything with French Disko on can’t be bad.
Recommended.
BTW If you’re into the gatefold sleeve packaging that you get with the main albums bear in mind this - and Switched On 1 come in single sleeves and with a thick, poly outer. Got a Download code that I’ll never use and a single-sided track listing insert. - Just spun the whole thing and very impressed with the quality. No noise at all, great fidelity throughout the range, plays loud. My first Stereolab "album" in 1995 and still one of my favorites.
- Unsure of the truth behind this but these clear vinyl pressings are limited to 500 according to Action Records where I bought it.
- Did this get repressed in 2010? I have what must be a very recent drag city black vinyl pressing, got it sealed.
- The gods smiled at me today. Found a sealed copy in a store randomly. I have nothing else to add, just wanted to brag.
