This album represents a special time for me personally. I was trying to find my sound djing. I liked ambient melodies and I knew I wasnt a bug enough DJ to ever play some headlining rave to play my favorite heavier rave sounds. But i was ok with that. I still followed all kinds of genres and bought what I liked regardless if I would ever play it out or not. I grew up thru the late 90s Cologne sound and 2mwas heavy into Chain Reaction etc. I was very interested into the minimal movement that was going on but not too fond of the what became labeled a few years later as micro house.
This might have some of that micro house sound but I think this more into minimal and really just a glitch ambient with a little house or techno beat. The emotion is here. This album never went over the top like akufen or Matthew Herbert did. Going thru IDMs ups and downs I felt I was well warned to stay away from jittery stuff. I favored the smooth. The ambient. And so this album still represents the good times finding myaelf as a dj and playing out at lounges were this sound worked so well. Its nice to come back to discogs sometimes and see my old user name next to some that I added like the 2x12. Playing this today brings back nice memories...

      Chill out

Again, I am worrying a lot of how many albums and pieces of work are lost in collective memory because they are not available online. "Questions and Comments" was on the top of the crop of those Force Inc albums, a microhouse dubby record that marches forward in its now considered minimal antics until it reaches an emotional peak in the wonderful Twitl. It is one of the better albums of the subgenre (the whole output from Geoff White is), but again, seeing how CDs are now rotting and no one seems to be relistening to this in any other form, the possible electronic canon will pass over it and maybe it will forget about the importance of all these albums. I mean, I am not calling for an Ozymandias situation here, just please keep your music accessible guys who own the Force Inc/Tracks catalogue and Geoff White.

A simple music design but certainly not simplistic music! Catchy spaced-out sound separation using micro dub rhythms, triggered loopy techno hooks and sweeps, minimalist drum beats and then all wrapped with a spacious ambient. Electronic warmth, tranquility and even some cool tech-funk on a couple tracks peaking the album at just the right moment will keep you hooked and immersed throughout the album's micro minimalism dub-tech framework. A excellent album, that for me ,certainly sits up-there with Force Inc label(sadly missed) best that could very well become a much sort after release in the future!!

The CD comes with two extra quality tracks that are missing from vinyl version, including the excellent deep and immersive 'Twitl' track

A fairly successful fusion of house with the dub-techno style, sounds a bit like MRI's All that glitters. Also bears comparison with some of Matthew Herbert's work. Didn't like this CD so much initially but it has grown on me and conclude it is a good record; try Elting Lieb's 'Disturbedances' though for a more successful go at a dub-tech-house sound.

This is as good as it gets in the world of minimal house, micro-house, dub-tek or whatever name they're labelling it now days. Its music that has that special something extra that makes it both memorable, exciting and interesting with each subsequent listen, and most importantly it has oodles of that one special ingredient that so many of these types of producer's can't seem to find enough of .....funk!
