- IMO the best compilation that had the secret life of trance stamp on it. Full of classics. Acid to ambient to post rave. Its all here from legendary artists. I recently did a top 200 trance tracks. 8 made it just from this release.
- A lot of gorgeous tracks, well-produced, and done at the real genesis of the genre. Shame about all of the retarded mindless idiots that ruined it for many. Fomulaic tracks and over hype has put releases like this into the corners of history. Trance used to be a gateway to open-mindedness, and an ever-flowing source of dance bliss.
- The 'Flexor' track here is credited to Influx but was actually released under James Bernard's Cybertrax alias in 1994 on Rising High.
Some superb music on this compilation, not least the trip that is 'The Beat Just Goes Straight On & On' and my personal favourite, Pink Elln & Atom Heart - 'Electronique (Live At The Casino Montreux)', which gives you half of the prized EP on Ongaku Musik. And that's just for starters... ! - Ditto Mr Zyc!
A real classic.
Especially on this wonderfully sunny lackadaisically Sunday afternoon, of which I have had the pleasure to have dug this gem out of my cd vaults and am listening to as I type this... Oh wow... Eternal Prayer just came on...
Perfect.
