- These tracks represent the roots of Boom Boom Satellites. Pure breakbeat madness with one-two jazzy notes. A well-titled album which doesn't stop blasting burning huge beats on both CD's.
The intro "4 A Moment Of Silence" is just one of the most incredible pieces of breakbeat ever created, Just listen to it and you'll understand.
Then, "Dub Me Crazy Ver. 02" contains beats that are as hard as The Prodigy and features a furious atmosphere with industrial vibes. I love the outro that sounds like the end of a big rock venue.
"Bike Ride To The Moon" is an awesome compilation of jazzy piano notes and typical 90's video game sounds. It reminds me of some pieces of the Crash Bash soundtrack for some reason.
Eventually, a fourth tune worth a mention is "Wonderful Wizard Of Dub". The irregular beats are used to perfection, and there's a continuous catchy sound that dangerously helps moving your head from top to bottom.
In addition to these 7 Ignitions, the second CD called "Auto Re-Birth" adds 4 more flaming tracks that are remixes of the first CD. Jack Dangers sticked to the original pattern of "4 A Moment of Silence", which is excellent.
The Optical remix explores drum and bass and does not sound bad, however I do not enjoy the Depth Charge remix as much as the other tracks. It sounds wild, and even a bit too wild for my taste.
But the real surprise came to the last choon "Wonderful Wizard Of Dub" remixed by Dons of Quixote. The original song is nowhere to be heard. It sounds like a live rock band rocking those electric guitars and featuring a few female moans, just for the fun.
If "Out Loud" is more often referred as the big beat album from Boom Boom Satellites to pick, I personally have a preference for "7 Ignitions" where they really let the beats go and explode in the speakers without stopping. It's a very unique experience. - this little double cd in cardboard sleeve owns it! learned about these cats from jack dangers aka meat beat manifesto. if you're into tight, amazing samples, psychedelic guitar looping and phasing/reverbing you'll dig this stuff. live they're amazing too with 3 cats on stage and live drums and bass. off the chain. buy on sight for any boom boom satellites for sure!
