No, it isn't. in 1969 the pye pressings were still black. the see through effect started in 1970/1971.

This 89-Repress is excellent.
I listened in direct comparison to a solid VG+ '69-French issue, absolutely no difference.
No need spending more, if you like listening to this splendid vinyl, here's a decent copy.

are we sure this is 1969? - this is the new Pye label design that wasn't used on the intial pressing

There was an early 70s repress with the new label design on Pye (I've got it)

There's way too much background noise on my copy, which is often a problem with colored vinyl.

My copy is translucent deep red when held up to the light. It is likely that most copies of this issue will do this, as it was a feature of early to mid 70s PYE pressings.

When held to a bright light the colour is burgundy
