A funny thing to note is the generic sleeve from Irdial on this one. At first, I was pissed off having such a bad condition Irdial generic sleeve... until I realized it was a joke from them : this plain black holed one is printed with lots of scratching and tearing marks suggesting a very old and used record (or sleeve). Ah ah ah!

The epic "Subway Route" is the laid-back, lesser-known cousin of The Martian's "Star Dancer", released the same year. Where the latter has an intense, peak-hour vibe, the former has, despite being about the same tempo and using some of the same thematic elements, a far more stretched-out, coming-down feel, all rounded and spacious, with more of a bassline groove. It's strikingly good, something I'm proud to own on vinyl.
