Def Leppard – Hysteria

I have what appears to be the 2017 pressing according to the catalogue number on the cover and Vinyls, but the matrix on the runout grooves is 01036284, this pressing doesn't seem to be listed on Discogs.

Is this a more recent pressing than the 2017 edition?

One of the best if not the best sounding version of this album you will find. The two disc release that it always deserved. Hard to find in the blue tho due to being the VIP ticket gift on the Australasian tour leg some years back. A must for all true DL fans!

This album sounds amazing and well worth the price. For those who say otherwise, I would encourage you to check your system.

One of the worst if not the worst quality record in my collection. Don't waste time and money, much cheaper used reissues way better. Either QC issues or the utter disregard for the job that needs to be done for cutting and mastering. The distortion, sybilance, everything that other guys mentioned. Piece of shit from the get go and it gets worse with every inch closer to the center.. Really.

A legendary album from a legendary band. I had this album as a teenager in the late 80s early 90s and played the heck out of it. I recently purchased this version of the cassette album and I was pleased. The tape has almost no hiss and excellent bass. I recently played it only wanting to hear part of it, but got carried away and decided to listen to the whole album. This album is fantastic and every song on it is a hit in my opinion. Get it. Listen to it, and enjoy it.

Today I received the order with such an album. Are you sure that this disc is a SHM CD ? It has no SHM mark on Disc or Cover !

Any idea of the sound quality compared to the 2017 reissue?

My copy is pretty clean but still has a ton of background noise. Does anybody else have this issue?

Gotta say, after not hearing any songs off this album for years (heard the singles off the air for years), I’m just so impressed with how they were able to pull off having 1 hours worth of music on a single disc, and having it sound so DAMN good.

You’d think it would take a huge loss in sound quality with the grooves so squished together, but no - it’s a marvel for the format in a year that CD and Cassette sales were starting to overtake Vinyl sales.

The mix on this pressing just plain hits hard. If you're lucky enough to find a clean copy of this, spin with confidence. Playing through a uturn orbit plus, 2M Blue, Marantz 2215b and Dynaco a10 speakers.
