Juan's stellar remix giving a little knowing nod to Babe Ruth's 'The Mexican' and in turn (of course) Soulsonic Force's 'Planet Rock'
Too bad you can't buy this anymore. I've played this edit out more than the original. Maybe I appreciate the opportunities to mix longer since this is much longer than the original.
this is actually the first release of the full original version I think.- Correct me if I'm wrong, but I reckon this is (in retrospect) an edit. I don't own this, so I can't say for sure but have read somewhere that the 10 minute re-issue is the longer, more 'complete' original version
- are there also 5 different releases of this KDJ40 record?
- damn... it's hard to judge the Juan Atkins remix of freeki MF. I love the original so much. It's definitely Juan at the desk as the track is much more techno/electro, more repetitive and times the vocals in a way that I reckon is original rather than a simple remake. But... I the love the original.... Oh shit, that's on here too!!! The original? Pure dirt!!! Buy this vinyl.
