- a1 (the peter d mix) is my favourite on this one - soulful, gritty and tough jungle.
the other 3 are a bit too dnb-ish for my liking.
each to their own though! - Chock full of rinse out material with both mixes of 'You're Gonna Make Me Feel' and 'In The Beginning'. Smith & Mighty's mellow mix of 'I Need Some Lovin' is a superb end to the 4 track EP bringing the tempo down but not the quality. Classic Bristol bizznes.
- Edited one year ago'I Need Some Lovin' (Smith & Mighty Mellow Mix)' is a soulful hidden gem from this era. I still marvel at how heartfelt and timeless it sounds on every listen.
- I fully agree with the previous poster; this is a great bit of vinyl. The Roni Size & Krust remix of You're Gonna Make Me is the strongest track in my opinion, but all four tracks are great. It utilises the vocal beautifully, combining it with some firing amens and a bassline that could only have been made in '95. Roughneck business.
- Edited 20 years agoThis is a fantastic 12". Old school jungle vibes, nice low basslines, tight female vocals. Lighta!!!
I feel lucky that I found this record in a used bin in Philly for like $2 a few years ago. Makes me want to try to track down the rest of the catalogue. 5/5
