An interesting sidenote is that Skyscraper - Mach II appeared in an episode of "Men Behaving Badly"

'Doc Scott - Machines' has actually been faded/edited to 6:20 on all Emotif releases. The full unedited version is 7:10, and is only available through Eclectro and Quietstorm.- morph is not the artist on "headless horseman". he engineered it. the artist that was remixed by elementz of noize is raw deal, who aren't listed on the label.

Agree with Old_Boy - this preceded Torque and Wormhole, and was equally as important. Really a defining comp with good distribution, got this sound into ears.
And there's much more techstep diversity here than on Torque/Wormhole, even just among the tunes from the No U-Turn camp -- from the brutality of Skyscraper's (Trace & Nico) "Liberty 1" to the jazzy stepper that is Hydro's (Ed Rush w/Pete Parsons) brilliant "The Zone", and to the hip-hop influences on Skyscraper's "Mach II" and Ed Rush's "Check Me Out". Other top tunes include Doc Scott's clinical "Machines" and the tech-jazz of Elementz of Noize's remix of Raw Deal.
Truly excellent tracks throughout, and a delineator of a time when these sorts of compilations were actually compiled with vision, rather than being pure label showcases of the newest and shiniest tunes.referencing Tech Steppin (A Journey Into Experimental Drum & Bass) (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Compilation) EMFLP001
As important as wormhole, just two years earlier
