Thomas Newman – American Beauty (Original Motion Picture Score)

Very good pressing. The record is quiet and the sound is dynamic and punchy. The record colour looks very nice spinning on the turntable. There is no inlay, however the record is placed in a black, polylined envelope. One of the best sounding vinyl soundtracks.

Really great pressing of this iconic music by the great Thomas Newman. Shame it was so limited hopefully a repress will be done so more people can enjoy it.

I'm a Kevin Gray fan, what can i say, the guy does some pretty nice stuff on vinyl, if they only had put it on a plastic sleeve as usual RTI releases, they kinda dropped the ball on this one in that aspect, other than that and some cleaning requirements by the user i think this is fairly solid stuff, found it for around the equivalent of 15-16 usd in my country including shipping and taxes, couldn't pass it up

I'm not having any luck with this one. 3 copies from Amazon, all with major issues ; off-center, super noisy, ticks and an occasional pop. Frustrating, to say the least.

I second the previous review. Paper shavings and dust all over the place but once it had been well cleaned it sounds perfect. An amazing pressing.

The vinyl itself comes in a generic paper sleeve, one that left -lots- of paper shavings across the record. So it needed a clean right off the bat.

Playing it though, it’s tremendous. Barely a pop or crack to be heard. It sounds gorgeous.

Finally a vinyl realease on the way (Reportedly 3rd May 2019 from Real Gone Music). Bizarre that it has taken this long and can only guess due to issues around licensing. Really looking forward to this but a little concerned given this label’s history of poor quality pressings.

Staggering resolution, dynamics, and bass. Puts most audiophile recordings to shame. Makes standard commercial CDs appear downright crude. And its wonderful to listen to. It's aural heroin. Covers a vast array of emotions, never fails to satisfy. Played it in the car, when it repeated the smile on my face got bigger, the same smile Lester Burnham had the first time he told off his wife.

A must for every audiophile. Don't be surprised even if you really haven't heard your subwoofer yet. Best impulse buy I ever made.
