referencing Techno Trance 5 (CD, Compilation) 01 8560 6
This fifth installment of the series contains a lot of styles of electronic dance music, but there is not that many techno or trance here. We have club (Klatsch, Exposure, Moods, Pegasus, Spacetrax), hardcore (Terra W.A.N., Ramirez, Citrus, Hocus Pocus, Headbanger), tribal drums (Jopan, DJ Dero), but Citrus and Headbanger are also found on Thunderdome. And commercial hits like Klatsch! can be found on Megadance.
It was 1993 and the large variety of styles that made Turn Up The Bass so popular is now becoming a weakness. Dance music got fragmented in numerous subcultures and each was strong enough to produce massive sellers (Megadance, Thunderdome, The Ultimate Dream).
This could have been marketed better as Turn Up The Bass 26. Should have been released as such. Maybe the TUTB series would have evolved into a club compilation (okay, it ultimately did -> Serious Clubhits).
