Sounds like a solid tape! Could definitely hear some aging if I got close enough to my speakers, but I am impressed with the playback!

Only reason this monster is in my collection, is because I found it at a boot fair for a quid .. originally released to grab a new generation of Beatles fans in the early 80s - and cheaply cramming as many tracks on a single album to make it affordable with paper round money.
Most Beatles recordings were ‘hits’ imo - what makes these their 20 greatest, I have no idea .. no strawberry fields or I am the walrus..

Not the worst Beatles compilation album. Far better than A Collection Of Oldies and Beatles Ballads, but it does suffer from being a bit thin due to cramming 20 tracks on to one 12" piece of vinyl. In addition to this, Love Me Do and She Loves You are in simulated stereo.

Also the tracks A11 and A12 are swapped in order in this track listing. A11 is We Can Work It Out. A12 is Paperback Writer.

Timing for Yesterday (A10) is wrong on the label, label indicates 1:04, stopwatch indicates 2:04.

Sorry, the correct italian 1982 LP edition is the 3C 064-07674. The 64 1076744 is the cassette edition. Anyway, the 3C 064-07030 should be deleted from here.

The 3C 064-07030 1982 Italy edition should be not here: is the "Golden", not the "Greatest", that in fact correcly appears as the 64 1076744 one few lines below!
