- I still think the Optimus remixes (vocal & dub) are some of the best reworkings of a Kylie's song. Such a shame they didn't get a wider release.
- Edited 6 years agoOne of the most, if not THE most accomplished remix of any Kylie single. Along with the BIR Soundtrack of Where is the Feeling? this is a tremendous job, very well crafted.

Definitively my favorite remix from Kylie in the 90's and probably one of the best production ever from Farley & Heller. This song was released as B-side of single 'Confide In Me" on Australian label Mushroom Records. Fire Island mix was also included in the 'Kylie Minogue" album released same year.referencing Confide In Me (CD, Single, CD1) 74321 22747 2
The Big Brothers Mix is not bad but I can't find anything special about it, it sounds like every other Progressive House from around this time, think Sasha style, long tracks with outdated beats that really don't go anywhere. The original Master Mix and The Truth Mix are the two versions that have and "will most likely" stand the test of time. I would definitely not categorize either mixes as House, they fall somewhere between Trip-Hop and Dream Pop. The Truth Mix is very sexy, play this on your first date and your odds of getting laid will be improved.- Edited 2 years ago

Definitely one of Kylie's better moments. It was when she broke free of her contact with PWL, musically it just became better. In interviews at the time, she often complained about the lack of musical input in her partnership with PWL. With the 1995 album on deConstruction things changed for the better, out went the girly europop anthems (well not completely, this is Kylie after all) and in came sleek numbers produced by the likes of Brothers Of Rhythm (Dave Seaman/Steve Anderson), Pete Heller & Terry Farley and M People. The outcome was a phenomenal album with good substance and killer production and a COMPLETE flop sale wise. People just weren't ready for this. Now onto this special track.
The Brothers In Rhythm's production on this track lifts it to another dimension. Kylie's vocals shine crystal clear on the slightly Latin-infused groovy beat. The breakdown in this track is just magic which leads to a magnificent climax. It's a perfect pop song and the lyrics helped me several times, it's a good post-breakup song.
Track 2 has Seaman & Anderson taking the tempo up a bit creating a nice club version of the song, has the distinct 90's proggy house feel to it while keeping it at a low 122bpm but jampacked with strings, vocal editing & general drama.
Personally, I'm not that keen on "The Truth Remix" done by Maradona & Dollar but I am a fan of Philip Damien's mixes that can be found on a different release. I would also recommend a killer bootleg of this done by Turkish producer Subsky done in 2003 where he sampled the melody & strings and laced it onto a nice deep chuggy track.
