!!!!! beautiful item but max breath noise on my copy :( !!!!! - managed to grab one of these from Rustblade. I was surprised that after all this time it's still available. i received no autographs however :)
- Edited 9 years agoPoster was not included in all Editions. Mine directly came from Rustblade as pre-order, all included (even Trasparent Film Cover (The first 100 copies signed by all band members)), but no poster.

The Young Gods from Switzerland started as early as 1982 but released their self-titled debut LP as late as 1987 and secured themselves at once cult status and critical acclaim. Bigger record companies, bigger audiences and bigger tours (f.e. with Ministry) followed during the 90's but in the last 5 years it got pretty quiet around them as Group. Various Solo releases by Alain Monod as Al Comet and Franz Treichler with Heaven Deconstruction seemed to mark the end of a phase.
After recruiting Bernard Trontin as new drummer The Young Gods started working in 1999 on 'Second Nature' which is only their 6th studio album.
Franz Treichler's vocals are more tamed now and his voice and lyrics are set against a chrystal clear produced version of futuristic space rock. More than ever the Young Gods sound like The Doors of the space age or a psychedelic version of their fellow countrymen Yello.
But comparisons alone won't do them justice. The Young Gods explore a slightly creepy, unsettling urban atmosphere. Starting off with straight forward drum and bass influenced electronic rock in "Lucidogen" they get more and more into their own strange breed of modern psychedelia.
The listener is kept the whole time full of suspense until the album reaches it's peak with the longest track "Toi Du Monde". A heavy beat paired with whispered vocal lines in French and English crushes into the living room grooving nearly irresistible as if they wanted to proof that they've not turned into The Middle-aged Gods before they ease out with "Love 2.7", an light hearted Instrumental.
Hopefully it won't take another 3 or 4 years until the next album as I think they did not fullify their potential yet.
