Grian Chatten – Chaos For The Fly

Lots of crackles on side A of my copy + the hole in the middle of the record is a little too small, I have to carefully screw the disc on and off my turntable to make the hole widen a bit over time. Kinda annoying, never had this issue with any other record before but hey, at least I can spin it (a hole in the center of the record that is too wide would’ve been much more of a pain than this actually is!).
Overall, a bit disappointed cause it wasn’t cheap at my local record store but side B sounds good and the music is phenomenal so… Would recommend buying this album but wouldn’t recommend this version!

Not sure if I just got a dud, but my copy was filthy out of the sleeve, and was actually stuck to the paper sleeve. Not at all flat, but will see if it settles down. Lots of surface noise.

Very clear and rich sound. Vinyl is not heavy but clean and flat. Great jobs done on mixing and mastering. All instruments can be clearly perceived from one another and the voice floats above everything. A real joy listening to it. Unfortunately, it's no longer common practice with vinyl these days.

Great pressing! Grian Chatten just keeps putting out quality music. Love this record from A to Z.

A good album
The vinyl is almost perfect, silent and flat.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the best experience with this Cassette Tape. Got caught in both Walkmen and Stereo devices. Faulty copy perhaps. Shame, was pricey enough.

Mine came with a poster and a mini book with all the lyrics hand written (but printed), and more 'candid' photos not in the reg inner sleeve- also numbered out of /500 on the back. Purchased from Pie and Vinyl online.

It amazes me how Grian Chatten, along with Fontaines DC’s production and their long tours, found the time to write and record such a quality solo album. There’s maybe only one or two lesser songs on this one. Absolutely great album.
